Sailing the Nile  -  Travel photography
Egypt is a paradise for photographers and ancient history lovers. When you arrive to Egypt you are transported back in time to a fascinating civilization that developed along the Nile for more than 3,000 years.

Sailing the Nile is a great way to explore Egypt. Every major archaeological site is  located by the river or very close to it. The sky is always clear and blue during the day and you will always be indulged with a gorgeous starry night.

Sailing the Nile offers an unforgettable relaxing and serene experience.
Istanbul - bridge between the East and West
Historically known as Byzantium and Constantinople, Istanbul is the most populous city in Turkey and the country's economic, cultural and historic center.

Istanbul is a transcontinental city, straddling the Bosporus strait (which separates Europe and Asia) between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea.

The city was founded on the Sarayburnu promontory around 660 BC, the city grew in size and influence, becoming one of the most important cities in history. After its reestablishment as Constantinople in 330 AD, it served as an imperial capital for almost 16 centuries, during the Roman/Byzantine (330–1204), Latin (1204–1261), Palaiologos Byzantine (1261–1453) and Ottoman (1453–1922) empires.

London - crossroad of the world

London is a beautiful vibrant city, crossroad of the world, with unparalleled parks, museums, cultural life and history.

I lived in London during my young adulthood and what I saw, learnt and lived, left deep impressions on me.

In this collection of photographs I was particularly interested in working with lights, shadows and contrasts.

Saint Petersburg - The Venice of the north
Saint Petersburg, the former capital of Russia, is recognized as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Located on the Neva River which flows out to the Baltic Sea, the city was named by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703.

St. Petersburg is renowned for its arts and culture. There are over 200 museums in the city, the largest of which the Hermitage Museum was founded by Catharine the Great in 1764.

From the very outset the city was built on water, on numerous islands in the delta of Neva River. The combination of the architecture and water in St. Petersburg, as well as in Venice, has a special charm.

The most beautiful perspective of the city can be gained from water-level and the boat trips visit some areas of the city that might not be reached on ground.

Reflections - a huge "mirror"

I've always been fascinated by reflections on water.  A reflection is like a huge "mirror" that adds a whole new dimension of the subject, expanding strikingly our view of the world.

Reflections add depth, light and soul to the composition.

This collection incorporates photographs of the river Thames in England, Carrao in Venezuela and Cher in France, among others.
Venezuela  -  Travel photography
Venezuela is light and color. Located in the tropics, it is blessed with lot of sun light all year round.

A physio graphically diverse country, Venezuela is bounded by the  Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean to the north, incorporates the northern Andean mountain chains and interior highlands, the main portions of the Orinoco River basin with its expansive Llanos (plains) and the spectacular Guiana Highlands where the imposing tepuis - massive flat-topped mountains - are located. Tepuis date back to a time when South America and Africa were part of a super-continent.

The 979m-tall Angel Falls waterfall, the world’s highest, flows from one of the larges tepuis, the Auyán-tepui.
